2010 GALA Award: Best Custom Home One-of-a-Kind: The Banks Development Group, GTM Architects
Winner of the 2010 GALA Award for Best Custom Home One-of-a-Kind, The Banks Development Group and GTM Architects built an impressive 6,210 sq. ft. Bradley Hills home in Bethesda, Maryland, from the ground up. Recognized by Home & Design Magazine in their “Portfolio: 100 Top Designers” article, the home features “New England-style with red cedar, copper, and wrought-iron details” and is clearly a must-see new home.

Recognizing the Region’s Best in Home Design
This year’s GALA winners got a special treat in addition to their award—they earned a spot in the January issue of Home and Design Magazine.
The article highlights the design and architecture award recipients and includes photos of award-winning properties.
In total, there were more than 150 awards given in 90 different categories at our October 27th event held at the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Jane Lyons, a principal of Lyons & Sucher Advertising and longtime member of GALA’s planning committee, said, “The GALA program is the most prestigious residential design, sales and marketing competition in the metropolitan Washington Market. … To win a GALA is considered the ‘Best of the Best.’”
