Leesburg, VA | Where we live #washingtonpost

If you’ve not been out to Leesburg, VA; you’re missing a key element of the Northern Virginia lifestyle and all there is to do and see. Says #wikipedia:

Leesburg is a historic town within and the county seat of Loudoun CountyVirginia. Leesburg is located 33 miles (53 km) west-northwest of Washington, D.C. along the base of Catoctin Mountain and adjacent to the Potomac River.[2] Its population according the 2010 Census is 42,616. The town is also the northwestern terminus of the Dulles Greenway, a private toll roadthat connects to the Dulles Toll Road at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Leesburg, like the rest of Loudoun, has undergone considerable growth and development over the last 30 years, transforming from a small, rural, piedmont town to a suburban bedroom community for commuters to the national capital. Current growth in the town and its immediate area to the east (Lansdowne/Ashburn) concentrates along the Dulles Greenway and State Route 7, which roughly parallels the Potomac River between Winchester to the west and Alexandria to the east.

Leesburg, VA continues to thrive in its economic development and so much of the towns success is due to the success of many new home communities off Rt 7 and the Dulles Toll Road. Builders ran to the open land and year after year, more neighborhoods and communities spring up; full of laughter and love for the town from the residents and community advocates.

Every year, the Great American Living Awards highlights what people love about Leesburg and Loudoun County in general. From the model homes with unique twists on what the buyer wants, to some of the very best interior design concepts throughout each community. Awards go to top sales people, top selling communities, winning models and more.
